Premier Insulations – insulation and energy upgrades for homes and businesses
Premier Insulations specialises in upgrading insulation and energy performance in houses, apartments and commercial buildings across Ireland. We focus first on the fabric of the building – attic, cavity wall, external wall, internal wall and floors – then align heating, controls and renewables around that.
We are an SEAI-registered contractor. SEAI grants are available only for eligible properties in Ireland and we work to SEAI standards on qualifying projects.
We work in all counties in Ireland. You can see more about the areas we cover on our locations page.
Homes & Commercial Building Insulation
Good insulation makes homes and workplaces easier to heat and more comfortable. We provide a full range of domestic and commercial insulation services:
- Insulation services overview – how we plan and sequence insulation upgrades.
- Attic insulation – upgrading insulation above ceilings to modern standards.
- Cavity wall insulation – NSAI-approved bonded bead systems for suitable cavities.
- External wall insulation – wrap-around insulation for solid or hard-to-treat walls.
- Internal wall insulation – insulated dry-lining where external insulation isn’t practical.
- Floor insulation – reducing cold floors and draughts from below.
- Spray foam insulation – attics, roofs and specific commercial and agricultural applications.
- Retrofit & re-insulation – upgrading older or failing insulation systems.
- Commercial insulation – warehouses, offices, schools, healthcare and other non-domestic buildings.
-
Insulation-led approach
We start with the building fabric so your heating and renewables work properly.
-
SEAI-registered contractor
We follow current SEAI standards for eligible homes in Ireland.
-
Local, experienced team
Decades of insulation and retrofit experience across homes and commercial properties in Ireland.
Better insulation, less heating.
Heating, controls and boiler services to match your insulation
Once your building holds the heat, your heating system doesn’t have to work as hard. We provide heating and control services that support your insulation upgrades in houses, apartments and small commercial buildings.
- Heating & boiler services overview
- Boiler servicing – routine servicing to keep systems efficient and safe.
- Oil boiler servicing
- Gas boiler servicing
- Boiler repairs – fault finding and repair of common boiler issues.
- Heating controls & zoning – time, temperature and zone control for better comfort.
- Power flushing – cleaning sludge from radiators and pipework.
What customers say
"House is much warmer since the attic and cavity walls were done. We can feel the difference even on colder evenings and the boiler isn't running as often."
"Professional from start to finish. Clear survey, tidy work and helpful guidance on the SEAI grants and paperwork. The whole process was straightforward."
Heat pumps and solar PV for suitable buildings
For well-insulated homes and commercial properties, we can also help with low-carbon heating and on-site electricity generation.
- Air to water heat pumps – modern systems for buildings with good insulation and emitters.
- Solar PV installation – roof-mounted solar panels for domestic and commercial roofs.
These technologies work best when insulation, airtightness and heating controls are already in good shape, so we always look at the whole building first.
Energy upgrades, BER and SEAI grants
Larger upgrade projects often involve several measures together. Our energy upgrade services help you plan and deliver this in a structured way:
- Energy upgrades & retrofit overview – how we combine insulation, heating and controls into one plan.
- Home Energy Assessment & BER – assessing your home, identifying heat loss and providing an up-to-date BER.
- Eligibility & process for upgrades – understanding if your home and planned works meet current criteria.
For grants and support schemes, we always follow SEAI’s current rules for homes in the Republic of Ireland:
- Grants overview – how SEAI grants fit into your upgrade project.
- SEAI grants – types & amounts – current grant levels for insulation, heating and solar measures.
- Insulation grants – support for attic, cavity, internal and external wall insulation.
- Heat pump grants – funding towards qualifying air to water heat pump installations.
- Solar PV grants – support for domestic solar PV systems on suitable roofs.
- Heating controls grants – help with the cost of thermostats, zoning and time control.
- Warmer Homes Scheme – fully funded energy upgrades for certain eligible homeowners. SEAI runs this scheme and appoints contractors directly; Premier Insulations can advise you and carry out additional works where required.
Premier Insulations is an SEAI-registered contractor for homes in the Republic of Ireland. SEAI grants are only available for eligible properties in the Republic of Ireland.
Windows and doors as part of your upgrade
Insulation and airtightness are usually the first and most cost-effective steps, but windows and external doors also play an important role in comfort and heat loss. As part of a broader upgrade, we can review the condition of your windows and doors and advise how they fit into your insulation and heating plan.
- Windows & doors – how windows and doors sit alongside insulation, heating controls and renewables.
Airtightness, ventilation and diagnostics
Getting insulation right also means paying attention to ventilation, draughts and cold bridges. We can help you avoid condensation and comfort issues by balancing airtightness and fresh air.
- Airtightness & ventilation – controlling unwanted draughts while maintaining healthy indoor air.
- Thermal imaging / inspection – identifying hidden heat loss and problem areas before work starts.
Book a free insulation and energy upgrade survey
If you own a home, rental property or commercial building in Ireland, we can inspect your insulation, advise on upgrade options and discuss any SEAI grants you may be eligible for.

Insulation & energy upgrades – quick answers
Do you work in all counties in Ireland?
Yes. We work in all counties in Ireland and regularly travel for domestic and commercial projects. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, contact us with your Eircode and we will confirm.
What types of insulation do you install?
We install attic insulation, cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation, internal wall insulation, floor insulation and spray foam insulation for suitable applications. We also provide retrofit and re-insulation for older or failing systems.
Do you work on commercial and agricultural buildings?
Yes. As well as homes and rental properties, we insulate commercial and agricultural buildings such as warehouses, workshops, offices, schools and farm buildings, using solutions tailored to each site.
Can you help me with SEAI grants?
If your property meets SEAI’s current criteria, you may be able to receive grants for measures such as attic insulation, wall insulation, heating controls, heat pumps and solar PV. We help you understand which grants may apply and carry out qualifying work to SEAI standards.
Do you also work on heating and solar?
Yes. While insulation is our core service, we also provide heating and boiler services, heating controls, air to water heat pumps for suitable properties, and solar PV installation. On every project we look at insulation first, then align heating and renewables around it.
How do I get started?
The easiest way to get started is to book a free survey or call us on 1800 64 64 10. We will assess your building, discuss your goals and budget, and outline a recommended plan. Where relevant, we will also explain which SEAI grants may apply and how the application process works.
