The Name You Can Trust | Est. 1984

One home. One plan. One upgrade path.

What is a whole home retrofit?

A full home energy retrofit upgrades your home’s insulation, heating, ventilation and energy systems to modern standards — in one coordinated project. You get lower energy bills, a warmer home, and access to SEAI-backed grants of up to €25,000 under the One Stop Shop scheme.

What’s included in a full retrofit?

  • Attic, cavity, internal or external wall insulation
  • Advanced heating controls and zoning
  • Airtightness upgrades and ventilation (natural or mechanical)
  • Solar PV system for renewable electricity
  • Air to Water heat pump (optional, if BER target allows)
  • BER before & after, plus SEAI paperwork & coordination

We build your retrofit around insulation first — then support it with heating and renewables.

Insulation Grants
  • Up to €25,000 in Grants

SEAI One Stop Shop covers 45–51% of eligible retrofit costs

  • One Project, One Team

We coordinate all survey, install, grant and BER work

  • Insulation-First Strategy

We prioritise core upgrades before optional technologies

Who qualifies for One Stop Shop support?

Grant eligibility made simple

To access SEAI’s One Stop Shop grants, your home must:

  • Be built before 2011
  • Have a BER of B3 or lower before work begins
  • Achieve a BER of B2 or better after the retrofit

Premier Insulations works with SEAI-approved partners and technical advisors to ensure your upgrade is compliant and grant-ready.

Quick answers

What is a whole home retrofit?

A full upgrade to your home’s insulation, heating and energy systems to achieve a high BER rating and lower running costs — with SEAI grant support.

What’s included?

Insulation (attic, walls), heating controls, ventilation, solar PV and heat pumps — depending on your home’s condition and grant goals.

Is this different from Better Energy Homes grants?

Yes — this is the One Stop Shop scheme. It supports full upgrades in one project and requires achieving a BER of B2 or better.

Do you handle the paperwork?

Yes — we manage all grant forms, technical requirements and SEAI submissions.

Can I phase the upgrades?

Yes — we can build a plan that gets you to B2 over time if needed. You may start with insulation and add technologies later.
