Back to Kildare

Spring has sprung

There’s a definite hint of Spring in the air today as temperatures are warmer and skies are bluer, but heavy frost and freezing temperatures are forecast this week too, which shows the importance of efficient home insulation all year round.

Insulation in Castledermot and Athy

County Kildare is certainly keeping us busy this week, as we head today for both Castledermot and Athy to install cavity wall insulation in two houses.

One of those homes is getting bonded bead cavity wall insulation, while the other is getting foam fill insulation. There are some differences between the two, but the common factors are greater heat retention and lower heating hills – and who wouldn’t want that!

The Curragh of Kildare

Doubling up in Kildare

We’ve written before here about the SEAI’s Better Energy Warmer Homes scheme, and we can tell you today about two more homes that are benefitting from it.

They’re in Clane and Naas in County Kildare, where we’re installing cavity wall insulation today under the scheme.

The scheme is for owner-occupied non-Local Authority homes, built before 2006, where the owner is in receipt of certain Social Welfare payments. It’s also open to landlords whose tenants meet certain qualifying criteria.
